As a team member at GKV Architects I worked with the Durst Organization at 1WTC on five different series of Pre-Built spaces along with developing standards for the building. Each floor is comprised of elevator lobby, corridor, turn-key suites and tenant suites. With each new tenant came unique requests. Some requested minor tweaks to the standards, while others wanted the entire book.

In an effort to attract more tech companies to 1 WTC the team at GKV architects helped develop design and construction standards for an alternate open ceiling concept Pre-Built. The test suite built in this fashion is a 5,000 sf marketing space which showcases tenant options for their future units. The marketing space is also designed to be converted to more usable space after its marketing purposes are fulfilled.
